This hotel is a hidden gem near all the sightseeing spots and restaurants. Its location next to a canal adds a touch of charm to the overall experience. The rooms with western beds were a great convenience for my elderly parents. And the breakfast, oh my, it was impeccable and beautifully presented.
All was ok, but a little sprucing up wouldn't hurt.

Spending new year's eve in this historic location was an unforgettable experience. The staff was incredibly hospitable, offering us a traditional Japanese new year's meal and celebrating with us. The location was perfect, nestled in between a serene canal and a beautiful garden. The room was spacious and provide an impeccable view of the surroundings. the amenities provided were exceptional, such as the complimentary refreshments and the tea set with fine loose leaf tea.
The age of the building did show in some areas, especially in the worn carpeting and lack of modern decor. while the location was ideal for a peaceful getaway, it was a bit isolated from other attractions, requiring a bit of travel to find local shopping and entertainment.
